What Is Natural Wellness

Rooted in Nature, Connected in Wellness

Inspired by the Indigenous agricultural tradition of the Three Sisters—corn, beans, and squash—we honor the beauty of balance, interconnection, and mutual support. Each plant brings its own gifts, yet together they create a thriving, harmonious whole.

At Three Sisters Botanicals, this wisdom guides our approach to wellness. We believe every person is unique, and that nurturing the connections between body, mind, nature, and compassionate care can help cultivate a more balanced path to well-being. Our mission is to walk alongside you, working collaboratively with you and your medical providers to nurture your individual journey toward wellness.

For many people, the idea of natural remedies - including herbal remedies - brings up mixed feelings. On one hand, there’s curiosity, a sense that there must be more to health than just prescriptions and test results. On the other, there’s hesitation.

You might have heard conflicting advice online, or you’re worried about safety, or you’ve been unsure whether your PCP would take your questions seriously. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Most people we meet aren’t rejecting conventional medicine. They’re simply looking for a broader, more thoughtful, and yes Natural approach. One that considers lifestyle, stress, nutrition, and the body as a connected system, while still staying grounded in evidence and safety. The term natural remedies is broad, and that’s part of the confusion. It can include herbal medicine, lifestyle approaches, and other forms of complementary support.

It can refer to:

  • Nutritional approaches (such as food choices or correcting deficiencies)
  • Lifestyle factors (sleep, movement, stress regulation)
  • Herbal and plant-based products (herbs, teas, extracts, tinctures)
  • Mind–body practices (breathing, mindfulness, nervous system support)
  • Supplements derived from natural sources, including some herbal supplements

Importantly, natural does not automatically mean:

  • Harmless
  • Proven
  • And appropriate for everyone, but that certainly doesn’t mean that it’s right for everyone.

Botanicals, tinctures, herbal remedies, and aromatics, as well as vibrational healing, have been around for millennia. The benefits of many plants are undeniable, all one has to do is research Hemp and Cannabis, when and why it was actually banned. If it’s so harmful why are Big Pharma synthesizing it. Natural remedies and botanicals offer plant-based support for everyday health, stress, and wellness. While many people use them alongside conventional care, they require careful use.

The Key Benefits of Botanicals are:

  • Whole-Body Support: Many plants target interconnected  systems such as how better sleep supports energy and immunity, or how gut      health influences mood.
  • Supports Active Self-Care: Using teas, extracts, or lifestyle habit changes help people pay closer attention to nutrition, stress signals, and early symptoms.
  • Gentle Relief for Mild & more Severe Issues: Herbs often provide mild, supportive care for everyday concerns like occasional stress, anxiety, abrasions, pain, mild inflammation, or sleep disruptions.
  • The Use of Targeted Plant Compounds: Common  botanicals have traditional and research-backed uses such as lavender for anxiety, turmeric for inflammation, or echinacea for seasonal colds.

Important Safety and Regulation Notes

  • Herbal Remedies Are Not FDA Regulated as Drugs: In the United States, most herbal products are sold as dietary supplements rather than standardized medicines. Potency and quality can vary significantly between brands and methods of producing or extracting the compounds.
  • Risk of Drug Interactions: Botanicals can interfere with prescription medications, such as blood thinners, heart drugs, or seizure treatments. So during any consult, we would need more details on the medications or supplements you’re taking. This is why we always      provide you with a full typed out break down to the recommendations in our Protocol. We strongly urge you to review these with your PCP to ensure everyone’s on the same page.
  • Special Caution: Pregnant or nursing individuals, children, and people with chronic health conditions should avoid certain herbs, please be open with your Herbalist, whether us or someone else and /or consult your provider first.
